The Human Resources Department of Eastern Kentucky University provides high quality, customer focused, comprehensive human resources services to the University Community.

Benefits
Providing employees with a benefits package designed to meet needs of employees and their families, from health, vision, and dental plans to retirement plans and more.

Compensation
Managing the classification and compensation for all staff positions and the establishment of all staff job descriptions.

Employee Development
Providing training and learning opportunities to ensure effective employee performance, quality of worklife, and personal and professional growth of all EKU employees.

Employee Relations
Educating and guiding EKU employees and supervisors in a variety of employee relation’s issues such as grievances and FMLA and provide intervention services to promote positive work environments.

Employment
Educating and guiding potential EKU employees and supervisors on various employment processes ranging from applying for an EKU position, requesting new positions or replacements, to selecting qualified candidates. Employment provides guidance on staff recruitment sources and strategies.

Human Resource Information Systems
Striving to provide the highest level of efficiency with which data on employees and HR activities is compiled and maintained by automating HR activities and record-keeping processes.

Wellness
Fostering an environment that enables EKU faculty and staff to embrace and engage in the wellness opportunities provided, leading to wise health care decisions, improved health status and overall improved quality of life.
